PikiTalk Terms of Service
Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms of Service are intended to define the rights, obligations, responsibilities, and other necessary matters between SIGMACHAIN Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) and users (hereinafter referred to as “Members”) regarding the use of PikiTalk (hereinafter referred to as the “Service”).
Article 2 (Definitions)
1. “Service” refers to the blockchain-based chat service available to Members, including Blockchain Talk (recorded) and Private Talk (non-recorded).
2. “Member” refers to any individual who uses the Service in accordance with these Terms.
3. “Blockchain Talk” refers to the chat function in which conversation history is recorded on the AriChain blockchain network.
4. “Private Talk” refers to the private chat function where conversation history is not recorded.
5. “Account” refers to the ID and authentication information set by the Member to use the Service.
Article 3 (Posting and Amendment of Terms)
1. These Terms are posted within the Service or on the website for easy access by Members.
2. The Company may amend these Terms within the scope of applicable laws and will notify Members at least 7 days prior to the effective date. In the case of significant changes, a 30-day notice will be provided.
3. If a Member does not agree to the revised Terms, they may stop using the Service and terminate their membership.
Article 4 (Provision and Modification of Services)
1. The Company provides the following services to Members:
1. Blockchain Talk (conversation history recorded on AriChain network)
2. Private Talk (conversation history not recorded)
3. Other supplementary services provided by the Company
2. The Company may change part or all of the Services due to the nature of the Service or technical reasons and will notify Members in advance.
Article 5 (Membership and Account Management)
1. Members must agree to these Terms and follow the procedures set by the Company to register.
2. Members are responsible for managing their own account information and must not share or transfer it to others.
3. The Company may refuse membership or restrict Service use in the following cases:
1. Providing false information
2. Using another person’s identity
3. Other cases deemed inappropriate by the Company
Article 6 (Service Use and Restrictions)
1. Members must comply with these Terms and applicable laws while using the Service.
2. The following activities are prohibited:
1. Transmitting illegal or inappropriate content
2. Stealing or unauthorized use of personal information
3. Recording and misusing inappropriate information in Blockchain Talk
4. Interfering with the operation of the Service
3. In case of violations, the Company may restrict access, suspend accounts, or take legal action.
Article 7 (Privacy and Security)
1. The Company strives to protect Members’ personal information and complies with relevant laws.
2. Conversation history in Blockchain Talk is stored on the AriChain network and cannot be deleted once recorded.
3. Conversation history in Private Talk is not stored, ensuring confidentiality.
4. The Company implements technical and administrative measures to protect personal information.
Article 8 (Child Protection and Safety Policy)
1. Age Restrictions for Use
1. PikiTalk restricts access to users under the age of 13.
2. If an account is created without parental consent, the Company may suspend or delete the account.
2. Privacy and Security
1. Personal information of children under 13 is not collected without legal guardian consent.
2. Children’s personal data will not be used beyond service provision and can be deleted upon guardian request.
3. Guardians may request to view, modify, or delete their child’s account information.
3. Advertising and Payment Protection
1. Users under 18 cannot make purchases of paid services without parental or legal guardian consent.
2. PikiTalk does not provide targeted advertisements to children.
3 . Guardians can restrict or block payment features within PikiTalk.
4. Harmful Content Blocking and Reporting
1. PikiTalk provides automatic filtering and reporting features to prevent exposure to harmful content (e.g., violent, sexual, hateful, or illegal material).
2. Reported content is promptly reviewed, and accounts violating the child protection policy may be suspended or restricted.
5. Parental Control Features
1. Guardians can limit usage time, block specific content, and restrict harmful users in PikiTalk.
2. Guardians can view activity history of child accounts and restrict service use if necessary.
Article 9 (Disclaimers)
1. The Company shall not be held liable in the following cases:
1. Damage caused by Member’s negligence in managing account information
2. Issues arising from the inability to delete Blockchain Talk records
3. Service interruptions caused by natural disasters or force majeure
2. Unless caused by willful misconduct or gross negligence, the Company is not liable for service-related issues.
Article 10 (Dispute Resolution and Governing Law)
1. Any disputes arising between the Company and Members in relation to these Terms shall be resolved through mutual consultation.
2. If an agreement cannot be reached, the governing law shall be the laws of the Republic of Korea, and the competent court shall be the court having jurisdiction over the Company’s principal office.
Addendum
1. These Terms shall take effect from March 20, 2025.
2. Key amendments include:
o Addition of Article 8: Child Protection and Safety Policy
3. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised Terms shall be deemed as agreement to the changes.
